Bishapur

As already noted the sequence of reliefs at Bishapur form the most important group for understanding Sassanian imperial representation, and especially the aspirations and claims of Shapur I. The largest of them is a panoramic relief built around a central tableau of Shapur I with the three Roman emperors he defeated or overcame: Gordian II, Philip and Valerian.
